History
Sold new to Major Hugh Watson, (Irwin representative for the Mid West) on July 17th, 1936 and delivered via freight car. Watson sold it in May 1937 (The airplane was probably used as a demonstrator) to J.A Howenstine, who learned to fly and soloed in it. In August or September 1937 he traded it in on a Waco.
In January, 1938 it went to Mr. M.J. Lewis and in July 1940 to Les Bowman in Fort Worth.
In December 1944 it was listed as being owned by the Memphis Research Lab (Address then was #1 Race Street) in Memphis, Tennessee. While there it was often serviced and maintained by the Memphis Flying Service, a Mr. V.O. Sneed and Mrs. Vara DeMott of Germantown, Tennessee.
Despite a number of years of research by Ev Cassagneres, no photo has been found of this aircraft, or any records of its eventual fate. Final disposition unknown could still exist.
