David Paqua, Stamford, CT

David is well along on a replica ST-A built from the Ev Cassagneres plan-set.

Currently David has the rear fuselage skinned and complete, ready to mate to the fwd fuselage. He has welded up new steel bulkheads # 2 and 3, along with landing gear legs, tailwheel, engine mount, trim unit, centre sections, and many miscellaneous parts and assemblies.

David is currently working on the forward fuselage, along with the tail surfaces, wings and sheet metal assemblies. David has an original Menasco engine on hand.

Rich Williams, Raleigh-Durham, NC

Rich has made excellent progress using the Ev Cassagneres drawings, having now completed a full set of wing ribs, fuselage bulkheads and many sheet metal parts and assemblies. In addition Rich has collected a pair of original Menasco engines and many engine parts as well. Rich is currently at work assembling the rear fuselage section, using a fuselage assembly jig recently acquired.

Jim Holladay, California

Jim has made great progress using the Ev Cassagneres plan-set. Jim now has all the fuselage bulkheads completed along with a full set of wing ribs. Jim is now working on the wing assemblies, collecting parts and also the tail surfaces.

Tom Filipcevic, Melbourne, Australia

Tom is currently working on a replica STM-2 but hopes to be able to add an identity to the project soon, which will allow the parts he has built and acquired, along with the project parts to become an STM-2 restoration project.

John Saunders, Wanaka, New Zealand

John also is currently collecting Ryan ST parts and assemblies, with the hope of applying all to a Ryan ST restoration project.

Nick Pfannenstiel, Timber Tiger Aircraft, Colorado, USA

Nick has chosen to create a slightly different Ryan ST replica, choosing instead to redesign the airframe at 95% of the original. Nick chose the scale to allow for smaller engine options as well as a general redesign of the airframe to eliminate weight and complexity.

As can be seen by the below photos he is rapidly progressing towards first flight.

For more information on Nicks project refer to the links page and Timber Tiger Aircraft.
