History
Built from scratch from original Ryan Drawings supplied by Ev Cassageneres. The Builder was Glenn G. Moore, or Burgaw, North Carolina. The original registration was available and obtained from the FAA in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Glenn Moore was killed in an unrelated aircraft accident, in a new homebuilt he had recently completed. A Moronca, built using Aeronca components, N404AF, it had an engine failure and Glenn was fatally injured in the resulting landing.
Ev Cassagneres flew the replica and claimed it flew just like the original.
The Aircraft is an identical replica, with the exception of the cowl lines and the engine installation.
The original Tigre engine was problematic and swapped out for a LOM engine; no further problems have been reported.
Mr. Ireland recently provided an update that the aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance to repair a sheared oil pump shaft and has been grounded for the last 3 years. Plans are in place to get the aircraft flying again shortly.

Notes
The registration and S/N are based on the original Ryan ST S/N 103. The papers were obtained by Mr. Moore while building his replica.
This aircraft is the inspiration to all who might choose to build an ST-A from scratch. Built with minimal tooling, Glenn Moore completed the aircraft in six years, by sticking to a dedicated work schedule and by teaching himself the skills required. The finished aircraft is indistinguishable from an original ST-A.
Glenn Moore placed the aircraft for sale in the Ryan Reflections newsletter, July, 2005 with the following ad:
Ryan ST-R full scale replica. New 1998. TT 155 hrs. LOM M132 engine, Sensenich prop, full electric system, Cleveland
