Sold new March 15, 1940, delivered to the Ryan School on Lindbergh Field, San Diego, California.
Modified to PT-20A with a Kinner engine on December 12, 1940 at the Ryan plant, San Diego.
Used for military primary flight training, San Diego.
This PT 20A airframe was found in a Los Angeles Technical Trade School in the 1960`s.
Acquired by Dave Masters in the 1980`s it was combined with the paperwork from SN 197, assigned the registration N17348, and registered with the FAA as ST-A SN 197.
